One of the series of 64 Dakinis, here is another vision of Kuan Yin. She is seen standing on the waters and fulfilling Her role as guardian for those in peril at sea. She pours the elixir of life from her vase and a blue bird accompanies Her. This image has much in common with traditional portrayals of the Goddess. I wanted it to feel as if one of those revered paintings was coming to life and stepping into our world to pour Her healing compassion on our troubled times.
