Formation of the Goddess Frequency Band.
- The
band comprised of: Taressa Bell, vocals, Lorenzo Patterson,
drums, Ken Becker, bass, Paul Chansky, keyboards,
Kevin Bush, exotic instruments and percussion, and
Penny's 'channeled' vocals.

Knowing that to fully utilize the magical artistic
tools of the times I needed to have soundtracks for
the visuals I was creating, I started working with
music. We coined our name from Christopher Hills.
He used to say 'Are you tuned into the Goddess Frequency
Band?' He was talking about the kind of energy fields
one entertains and cultivates within, but I felt it
was perfect for our music, as that's what it was really
about. It was very exciting for me when this means
of expression opened up. I had been working with the
members of the band I assembled for a while. It finally
came together when I was able to get up to the mike
and 'channel' an evocation in praise of the Goddess
Saraswati - Indian patron Goddess of the Arts. It
was at the Goddess Temple on a night of meteor storms,
I managed to overcome my shyness and let words flow
from my mouth, as they had been flowing in for a while
through my mind. As this art form developed, we'd
all start up a song, not knowing what would 'come
through'. It was like holding hands and jumping off
a cliff together. For myself, I just had to put myself,
my thinking mind, out of the way and let the energy
flow freely through my head and out of my mouth. It
demands total presence and total absence at the same
time. We recorded over 380 original songs. I never
actually 'sang', but spoke the words as I was inspired,
in rhythmic patterns with the music and Taressa's
vocals. I feel I absorbed a lot of understanding of
rhythmic nuance through my relationship with Lorenzo
Patterson, the band's drummer, and a great supporter
of my late husband, Dr Christopher Hills.
