In the great outpouring of creativity that was released
after Nik Douglas and I got together, the Secret Dakini
Oracle was given form. We worked on these 64 images
at about the same time as we created the 64 large color
collages that became 'Mountain Ecstasy'. When we had
been using the cards and seeing their power in readings,
we went to the prominent publisher of Tarot cards, US
Games in New York. Against all odds, we managed to get
an interview with the President at very short notice.
We did a reading for him. Some very personal information
about his relationship to his father was conveyed to
him, but the outcome of the reading was the decisive
factor. It was the Abundance card, where gold comes
overflowing from a silver offering chalice…He asked
us to create a frame of reference for the cards that
related them to the Traditional Tarot and write up interpretations
for all the cards. The cards slipped into their places
in relation to the Tarot quite effortlessly, as if the
template had already been set and we were just bringing
it through. Writing the interpretations felt the same
way too. It was one of my ways of re-interpreting the
energies of the 64 yoginis/dakinis whose Tantric Temples
had recently been revealed to me through Nik.
