I was asked to make masks for a play and it was an exciting challenge as I'd always been interested in masks. Around this time I also made wedding masks with white feathers and pearls for a fashion show by designer Thea Porter, who was a collector of my work. The masks and feather make up were a natural extension of my other artwork, and my movement into theatre.
