'Goddess Juice' was created in about a year. It happened through a spontaneous 'act of grace', and that pattern continued throughout the production. We had created a musical track with Craig Russo called 'Undulations'. We decided to create a video for it and did a shoot in the studio to gather the material we needed. I was playing with blends of the material from the shoot on my digital mixer, to see what worked well, so that Dhiren could then take the best ideas and recreate them in the computer. However, we were asked to do a VJ set at the Health and Harmony Fair. As many of the people who would be performing live were also featured in the video, I created an hour-long mix of the best of my experiments. A week after the gig, we looked at the mix and realized that we had an hour of visuals already created, all we needed was the rest of the music. We worked with Craig over the next months creating the soundtrack in surround sound. More miracles happened. Although we did not actually 'score' the music to the images (we just knew the different 'flavors' that we wanted and roughly where they occurred), when we lined the music up with the video, it just 'locked in' as if it had pre-fitted… Every time I experience 'Goddess Juice', it's a new thrill. I believe that is because we just set things up, but it was the Goddess herself who prepared the potion.
