painting of Goddess 'Kuan Yin'. Acrylic on canvas 40"
x 50".
- This
painting was specifically created for the 'Kuan Yin
Portal' (Penny's bedroom) at the Goddess Temple and
unveiled on her birthday.
- I collected oriental furniture and decorations over
a couple of years and re-modeled my bedroom into a
place suitable to introduce the energy of Kuan Yin.
When it was ready, I painted this picture, straight
from the 'mindsky', and hung it in the prime location
overlooking the room. Her face transforms constantly
as she looks down on me in bed.
"I painted her with a golden aura and her traditional
white veil, this combination reflecting a vision I had
received of the planet being wrapped in a 'cocoon' of
golden white light of compassion as it was 'birthed'
into the new millennium." Rev. Penny Slinger Hills -

'Lakshmi',
acrylic and gold leaf on canvas, 48" x 30".
I
painted Lakshmi for an unveiling on Valentine's Day
to amplify the Love frequency. To accompany the unveiling
of the painting, a priestess of the Temple put on the
red sari, crown and ornaments of Lakshmi, and dispensed
blessings, on behalf of the Goddess, to the people present.
"Her four arms represent the four directions and the
main four psychic centers of the subtle body at navel,
heart, throat, and head. From her lower hands she showers
forth blessings in the form of golden coins. I put a
red heart on the center of the chest of my 'Sacred Valentine."

'Black Madonna', acrylic on canvas, 54" x 67".
" I attended a techno Mass presented by Matthew Fox
in San Francisco dedicated to flowers and accompanied
by a beautiful slide and video presentation. I was impressed
by Matthew Fox and wanted to support his work. He asked
if I would contribute artwork for his next Mass, which
was to be dedicated to the Black Madonna. When I started
going through my art for suitable pieces, the Black
Madonna kept 'coming through,' requesting that I make
a painting of her for the event. Everyone who witnessed
how she came into being agreed that the painting seemed
to just 'paint herself', there was not even a preliminary
sketch!" UCM Magazine, 2003
Many have felt the rebirth of the energy of the Black
Madonna. I have experienced this painting as a special
portal into her energy field. |
