1953- Conform in Uniform

1953 Penny assuming the 'school uniform position'. I wasn't too good at holding that pose…

Penny expressing her real feelings.

Penny with matriarchal lineage.

Penny and patriarchal line.

1950-54 Pictures tell a thousand words. As you can see, I was 'spoilt' by father's side of the family. My grandmother on my mother's side ('Granny Pen' - my name sake) was a bit more of a challenge as she had 'eyes in the back of her head' and would always catch me up to mischief.

1962 Penny with brothers Peter John and Paul Alexander.

When I went into hospital with a mystery illness at the age of nine, they pulled my parents aside and told them that they should have another child as I was rather frail, and also very spoilt and precocious. So when my brother, Peter, was born about a year later, as could be imagined, I was not very pleased to see him. Surprisingly enough, he doesn't seem to hate women.
