Penny Slinger is a surrealist artist best known for her erotic & Tantric work and her Caribbean/Amerindian work. She is the co-author, illustrator, or artist of the following books including Sexual Secrets- The Alchemy of Ecstasy, The Path of the Mystic Lover, Mountain Ecstasy, The Erotic Sentiment in the Paintings of India and Nepal, and The Erotic Sentiment in the Paintings of China and Japan.
Penny produced 50%-The Visible Woman and An Exorcism, two collections of powerful, haunting, surreal collages. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries all over the world, and has appeared on numerous record album covers. She also created the Secret Dakini Oracle, now re-released as the Tantric Dakini Oracle.
From 1980 to 1994, she lived in the Carribbean and was deeply influenced by and influenced the local culture... ancient and modern. She did extensive work on paintings of the extinct Arawak people- the original inhabitants of the Caribbean. This work can be seen here and the Arawak Art site. Her work featuring the present day inhabitants and modern culture of the Caribbean is featured in the Island Art gallery. Her series of historical murals are featured in Anguilla's Wallblake International Airport. Her paintings on Indian life are on permanent display in Marigot as part of the "On the Trail of the Arawaks" exhibition. Her media during this period included oils, acrylics, pastel, pencil, printmaking, life cast, and other 3-dimensional constructions, as well as photography, videography, and collage. She wrote, produced, and directed a mesmerizing Mystic Fire video on the Caribbean’s lost native culture–Visions of the Arawaks.
Penny is a multi-talented artists - streaming with creativity - in multiple formats, including oil paintings, digital-collages , installations, Tantric art, music and music videos - much of which she co-creates with multimedia artist Dhiren Dasu. Penny and Dhiren have created a series of digital collages to be released as the 64 Dakini Oracle. Her passion is very clearly her fascination with Goddesses - in all their many forms. Her company Goddess International is devoted to the spread of Goddess consciousness through art, media, and products. Media to Move You is GoddessChannel's credo. Goddess International was conceived by Dr. Christopher Hills in 1989. Since 1992, Penny has been at the creative forefront of Goddess International. At the Blue Lotus Temple, she leads a team of digital artists who share a collective vision of art, spirituality and the interplay between the two. GoddessChannel has recently released two new DVDs in 2009:
Rainbow Body Awakening. A journey of beauty, delight, sensation, and sentiment through the Chakras. Each of the Chakras is presented as a music video with an original score and immersive visuals.
Polynations: A global techno dance experience. An audio/video dance album that flows through different world cultures and genres of techno, tranec, house, hiop-hop, breakbeat, dub, and spoken word.
